Space Spider

Everywhere Norman went in Outer Space, it was always the same. Rocks, ice and boredom. Then back to suspended animation and off to another dull solar system.

“This time it will be different,” Josie said when he popped out of the fridge.

“You’re daft,” he said. But his jaw was frozen so it sounded more like a gerbil coughing.

Still frosty stiff and wanting to sit under the body toaster, Josie crammed him in his suit and stuffed him in his one-man probe ship.

He was still cursing when the autopilot landed, ejecting him into a spider web. Norman screamed.
