Binding judgment is a daily post prompt about judging a book by its cover.
The saying “don’t judge a book by its cover” doesn’t really apply in the case that the book in a journal with a decorative, colorful cover and nothing but blank pages between. Blank pages awaiting an artist to doodle, write, or otherwise use as their creativity and whimsy so move them. In many situations, we do have to make judgments based on imperfect knowledge. One can’t always read into a situation, like a book, and come away knowing it all. Yet, what about an actual printed book? You might read it and I might read it and our takes on the book may be completely opposed when we are done. Does that make one of our judgments completely invalid? I should think not. Disagreements exist. It’s how we handle them and whether we can learn for them that is of importance.
